Make Up Store - Cover All Mix

I've been eyeing this concealer and corrector trio for months now. So, last week, I caved in an decided to buy this.

Since this is rather new to me, I'm not gonna do a full in depth review about this product. I'm just gonna give you some colour comparison to other concealer and corrector.

It has 3 colours, a pinky salmon corrector, a greenish corrector and a neutral one. The main idea behind this is to use the salmon colour corrector for under eyes, the green one to neutralize redness and the neutral concealer to adjust the tone of the corrector. I believe they have 2 shades of this concealer/corrector wheel, the other one is in darker shades.

The reason why I wanted to do this colour comparison is because when I was looking to buy this, I couldn't find much information about this product.

So, here's the swatch of some correctors that i have.

1. Bobbi Brown Warm Natural concealer

Clearly this concealer is way too dark for my skin tone.

2. MAC Studio Finish in NC 20

I swatch this just to give you a comparison of how light the neutral concealer in the make up store palette is.

3. MUFE concealer camouflage palette (just the green corrector)

This is the only other green corrector i have. MUFE is considerably brighter and more mint green. What I don't like about the MUFE corrector is that I have to mix the corrector with concealer myself due to how bright the colour is. It's just another extra step that I'm just too lazy to do.

4,5,6. Make Up Store Cover All Mix

4. I guess compared to the MUFE green corrector, this Make Up Store ones looks kinda more yellowish green. Which I like because i can just apply this on my face without being afraid I'll look like a green alien. I tried this around my nose (which is very red), and i love how it really neutralized the redness.

5. The neutralizer in this wheel is quite light. I only apply a little bit of it on top of the corrector.

6. This colour is very similar to the Bobbi Brown corrector (swatch no 8).

7. MUFE camouflage cream no 19

I bought this pot separately from the concealer palette that MUFE have (yes, you can purchase each colour in the individual pot). You definitely need to mix this with your own concealer, just like the green corrector from MUFE. For this product a little bit goes a long way. You only need a tad bit of this to mix with your own concealer.

8. Bobbi Brown Corrector in Light Bisque

This is the closest thing i could find to the Make Up Store's Cover All Mix. Both are really great at covering under eye circles.

Here is a before and after picture of my eyes with Make Up Store Cover All Mix

I use the salmon corrector under my eye and the green corrector on the little redness on my eyelid. Then I blend with the neutral concealer. All the corrector/concealer in this wheel have nice texture, very creamy and easily blend-able. Opaque enough to cover imperfections.

I definitely need to try these more to give a more in depth review on how they last on the skin and what not, but so far so good.

I hope this post will help you guys to see the color comparison. If you already have a salmon colour corrector and only looking for the green corrector, I believe Make Up Store sells each of the colour individually.

Have an awesome day everyone!!

Drugstore Lipsticks

Gosh.. It's been raining non stop here in Indo. It's just impossible to take good quality pics outdoor.

Anyway, I went shopping last saturday, and found a good deal for maybelline lipsticks. They are 45% off. So, I picked up a bunch of them.

I'm in a lipstick and nail polish horde. I never did a nail polish haul because I'm too lazy to do the swatches. I don't like putting on and removing nail polish over and over again. It's just too much work.

There are one MUFE and 3 revlons as well. so here it goes.

1. Make Up For Ever Rouge Artist Natural in Folk

This is part of a collection (I'm not sure which, but I think it's the boho collection or bohemian). It's quite sheer being a rouge artist natural. To tell you the truth, i don't like the special packaging. It doesn't look sleek and nice like their usual packaging. It just look tacky to me.

2. Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Blushing Mauve (460)

Revlon is probably the drugstore brand i'll go to when i'm looking for lipsticks. They are very pigmented and not drying. I can't wait for the lip butter to come in. It's supposed to be around feb-march. YAY!

3. Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Pink In The Afternoon (415)

A really nice pinky nude colour. I feel like there is a lot of misconception about nude lips. I don't think that nude is super pale almost skin tone colour (like ex: MAC creme de nude). I think the best nude is something that is one to two shade lighter than your natural lip colour, not skin colour.

4. Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Wild Orchid (457)

Okay, the pics are not doing justice for this lipstick. This is like a gorgeous orchid colour with a ton of blue and purple iridescent sparkles. So gorgeous. I don't own anything like this and that's saying a lot, considering my 158 lipstick collection (I really have to stop buying lipsticks!).

Moving on to the Maybelline's

5. Maybelline Color Sensational in Cosy Tangerine (C31)

6. Maybelline Color Sensational in Coral Pearl (CP02)

7. Maybelline Color Sensational in Nude Pearl (BP03)

8. Maybelline Color Sensational in Toffee Cream (B43)

9. Maybelline Color Sensational in Loving Red (RM41)

So, If i have to choose, i'll say i love the revlons' more than the maybellines'. But, that's solely because of the packaging. Revlon's packaging is sleeker and it has some weight, where as the maybelline's is kinda light and feels cheap. In terms of the consistency, i find that both are pigmented and gildes on easily. I don't think they are scented. It's not a big deal for me, but maybe some of you would like to know.

Overall, I'm happy with my purchase. specially the maybelline's which is about SGD 2.50 each after discount.

I hope your days are better than my gloomy rain days.

I hope you guys had an amazing holidays ^^

Anyway, Jan 5th is my birthday, so I did get quite some presents from my family and friends.

I just wanna share this, because i got some makeup and this blog is mostly about makeup.

Glitz, Glamtastic

- Round The clock waterproof eyeliner in 5pm
It's a very dark purple colour, almost black.

Luxe Radiance and Gorgeous

-Pretty Amazing Lipgloss in Perky

She's the one that give me "You are not old" card. I just think that is a funny birthday card.

Which i've been wanting for a long long time. I'm a big fan of Starbucks and this is a non leaking tumbler. Awesome to drink my tea in the morning

9. Anna Sui Lip Rouge G in the colour no 300
I think this is more of a gloss than a lipstick. But I LOVE the super cute packaging and the rosy smell of Anna Sui's products. It does give a very sheer colour and some sparkles.

10. Make Up For Ever Lab Shine in S18

11. Three of my friends collaborated and make this super freaking ADORABLE gift set

Yea, it's a cinnamoroll soft toy holding an Anna Sui Mini Rouge in 304

I'm not a big fan of Justin Bieber, but the colour is really nice

Anyway, those are some of the gifts. My dad bought me an iPhone 4s.

My parents gave me some other stuff, but i forgot to include them in.

Oops, I almost forgot to insert this pic, I don't really know where to put it anyway. So, let's just put it in the end

MUFE - Rouge Artist Intense 40

I've rambled quite a bit on my last post, so this one is gonna be more straight forward.

Here is the lipstick:

I'm obsessed with Orange colour lipsticks since I saw Ashley Greene on seventeen magazine last summer.

I don't think this is the one she was using. Hers was way more orange. She is super gorgeous in this pic ^^ LOVE IT!

Anyway, here is a comparison of some of my orange lipsticks:

L-R: Etude House Miss Tangerine, Topshop Lips in Infrared, MUFE Rouge Artist Intense in 40, and MAC Neon Orange.

If you wanna know my thought on the formula of this lipstick, look at my previous post ^^
